My brother never thinks things through. Over the years, we have tried to convince him that you need to look before you leap but it still hasn't sunk in. A New Benefit Being Offered at My Husband’s Work
My husband just came in to ask me what I know about Fixed Income Annuities. This is something his company is talking about offering and he thinks we may want to enroll. I have never heard of these before which scares me, but I told him I would be willing to check it out. The problem is that every time I pull up information on the Internet one site seems to contradict another. I am trying now to find a government website that will give me information about this retirement option. So far I haven't had any luck, but I will keep looking. If I can't find what I need, I think I will contact a financial advisor.
Making Decisions About the Future
For the past three months, I having been reviewing my retirement plan. I have some concerns that I will not be covered in the event Social Security is taken away. Many say this will not happen but with our country in so much debt I have my doubts that it will be around in twenty years. I'm looking into Residential Investment Property now as that seems a good way to produce an income for the future. Just so long as renters are timely with their mortgage payment, I will always have money for the month. Yet, before I buy, I would like to make sure that I can pay this house off quickly. That's the only way it will produce income.
