Robert Schumann was known for many things. Robert Schuman composer is the most well known and much loved. As a composer his fame has endured for his skills at experimentation and innovation with various musical styles. He is considered one of the most influential Classical composers of his time period. His works include hundreds of compositions, including 168 songs written for piano in a single year. All of this work was completed before he took his own life at the age of only 46. And his influence was felt on the work of his wife Clara, a famous composer in her own right as well as Brahms, whom was taught by the couple.

Robert Schumann was born in Saxony in 1810, the youngest of five children born to novelist and publisher August Schumann. The robert schumann biography includes an early life of a mixture of writing and music, resulting in both essays of criticism as well as composition completed when he was seven years old. Schumann’s life, even by the standards of the time was relatively short, and the years in between were a mix of accomplishment and trouble. The accomplishment came in the form of composition and criticism and the trouble in the form of mental instability. His career as pianist was ended by self-inflicted hand wound, and his life was ended, while institutionalized, by suicide.

Members of the band were able to cut albums and some even had their names and photographs appearing on the album sleeves. It was therefore their band, not Franco’s.

The great South African musician, Miriam Makeba, died in 2008 at the age of 76. Hers had been an eventful life. Apart from fighting apartheid and going to exile because of her radical views, Miriam Makeba is probably most famous for bringing South African music to the rest of the world.In addition to her great musical skills, Miriam Makeba was a known champion of women’s and children’s rights. Her former husband, the famous jazz musician, Hugh Masekela, was one of those who performed at the memorial service for Miriam Makeba in Johannesburg.
