Nowadays kids hardly know how to play. This is caused by numerous things, but one main cause is obvious: video games. These games are almost narcotic in their ability to hook players into an addiction.
Gamers are willing to stay up all night just to beat the game or master a new level. Unfortunately, their social skills and ability to do anything resembling reality suffers.
How can you learn to make things, build things, fix things, grow things and share with a real live person if you are online all the time?
It is much better for parents to make the effort to create one of those special Family Fun Places in the yard or family room and teach them by example how to do things.
