Portable Air Purifiers are becomming more popular and can be used in a variety of settings on the go. They are great options for smokers and can virtually eliminate smoke particles in a car, eliminating not only the dangerous carcinogens in the air but also the smell of smoke. Essentially, these air purifiers are miniature models of their larger counterparts. They work in the same way as a typical air cleaner would, though they cannot handle large spaces and are best used in small enclosed or semi-enclosed environments such as a car, boat, airplane, bedroom, etc. Some even come in ionic versions acting to not only filter but actually charge and bind to particles circulating in the air. Most good models cost from $20-$40 and can be a great investment in your health.
